Barnet Van Man Backs Brexit

Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, has joined forces with small business owner Ben Scanlon to promote the Brexit cause in Barnet. Ben, the proprietor of Barnet Van Sales, is currently advising commuters in Barnet to Vote Leave with large banners displayed outside his premises on Barnet High Road. 

Voting Leave on Thursday is the safer choice

In the final week of the referendum campaign, Theresa Villiers met business leaders in New Ollerton in Nottinghamshire and set out her views on the why Voting Leave on Thursday is the safer choice. The event was hosted by A1 Flues who supply flue equipment to a wide range of customers including the House of Commons.

Local MP wishes students well for exam season

Theresa Villiers MP has issued a message of support for all young people taking GCSE and A-Level exams in her constituency. Barnet has some of the best performing schools in the country and Theresa also thanked teachers, head teachers and administrative staff for all their hard work. 

Fast broadband gaps start to be filled in High Barnet and Queen’s Speech promises further progress

After the many months of campaigning for better broadband for Barnet, Theresa Villiers MP has welcomed the news that the first of the gaps in fast broadband provision in High Barnet have now been filled. On 18th May, Cabinet 52 in Hadley Parade on Barnet High Street was connected up to fibre broadband, becoming operational for all homes and businesses in the surrounding area who want to sign up for superfast services.

Villiers welcomes new family homes for Whetstone

The ribbon was cut for new homes in Whetstone on Friday by Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet. The new Oakwell Grange development is being built by David Wilson Homes, following on from engagement with the local community and elected representatives to amend the plans originally put forward for the site.
