VILLIERS ON WELFARE REFORM

Theresa Villiers has written the following article on the Government's welfare reform programme which will be published in the local Barnet papers.

VILLIERS MAKES SATURDAY EVENING VISIT TO MEET DOCTORS AT BARNET HOSPITAL ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, visited the Emergency Department (ED) at Barnet Hospital on Saturday evening to meet doctors, nurses and patients and hear their views on the state of A&E. She was taken on a walk round A&E by Dr Turan Huseyin, Clinical Director for Emergency Services, and Baroness Wall of New Barnet, who is chairman of the Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust. They explained the progress being made on expanding A&E at Barnet.

VILLIERS PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR EU REFERENDUM BILL

The MP for Chipping Barnet, Theresa Villiers is backing the bill to hold an in-out referendum on the European Union. This proposed legislation is being taken forward as a Private Member's Bill by James Wharton, MP for Stockton South, and the second reading debate is taking place today in the House of Commons. Theresa was on the front bench with the Prime Minister, the Chancellor and the Foreign Secretary to support the Bill.
