Following discussions with DEFRA Secretary of State, Michael Gove, Theresa Villiers has welcomed progress in her campaign to ban live animal exports, with confirmation that the Government is seriously considering a ban.
Thank you to everyone who has emailed me or posted comments on my Facebook page regarding the proposal to amend the EU (Withdrawal Bill) by inserting a New Clause 30 on the transfer into UK law of the EU Protocol on animal sentience in Article 13 of the Lisbon Treaty.
The annual Janmashtami festival at Bhaktivedanta Manor kicked off yesterday and Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, was one of the thousands of people who went along to the Hare Krishna centre in Aldenham to mark this special occasion in the Hindu calendar.
