Theresa Villiers, Member of Parliament for Chipping Barnet, today joined Tim Loughton, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children and Families, at the official opening of the UK's first Jewish Community Secondary School (JCoSS) in her constituency.
MP for Chipping Barnet, Theresa Villiers, has encouraged people from across her constituency to support this year's Greenacre Bicycle Rally on Sunday 12th June 2011. Now in its fourth year, the rally is organised by local environmentalists to highlight the benefits of cycling in the suburbs.

On Thursday 5th May, there will be a nationwide referendum to decide whether we should scrap our current voting system and replace it with one called the alternative Vote (AV). Nick Clegg insisted on this referendum as the price for entering into a coalition with the Conservatives because AV strongly favours the Liberal Democrats.I have joined people from right across the political spectrum to campaign for a No vote because I believe AV is the wrong voting system for our country.
On Tuesday, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, joined staff, pupils, the Mayor of Barnet and local councillors at the official opening of Barnet College and East Barnet School. The Duke of Gloucester was invited to tour both facilities and conduct the opening ceremonies.
On Saturday, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, joined the pupils and parents of Hellenic School of High Barnet, based in East Barnet School's new building, to welcome the Cypriot Education and Culture Minister, Andreas Demetriou. The Hellenic School, which runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays to teach Greek language and culture, was chosen as just one of four schools for the minister to visit while he was in Britain.
On Saturday, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, joined residents of Finchley and Friern Barnet to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Finchley Society. Also in attendance was Mike Freer, MP for Finchley and Golders Green, and the Deputy Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Lisa Rutter. At the event, Theresa was invited by the Chairman of The Finchley Society, David Smith, to speak about the ever-changing character of transport in North London.
