The following article by Theresa Villiers MP will be published in the Barnet local media this week: The Sunday Times survey recently listed High Barnet as the 4th best place for families to live in Britain. With over 200 parks and open spaces the balance between urban and rural was a contributing factor, although it was our schools which really got their attention. Ofsted rated our schools as the second best in the country.

On the eve of Margaret Thatcher's funeral tomorrow at St Paul's Cathedral, Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, reflects on the work the former Prime Minister did in the Finchley constituency. Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, has urged the local NHS and GPs to resolve the disagreement which is holding up the opening of Brunswick Park Health Centre. This is the latest in a series of representations she has made on this matter on behalf of her constituents and included speaking directly to Caroline Taylor of North Central London NHS and contacting the Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group who have just taken over local NHS services. VILLIERS REPEATS CALL FOR ACTION ON NHS WASTED LAND AND DERELICT PROPERTIES IN BARNET

Chipping Barnet MP, Theresa Villiers, has urged Barnet Hospital the local NHS to take action on the derelict nurse accommodation on the A411 in Arkley, and the former Marie Foster Home site in Wood Street, Barnet. The first site is owned by Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital and the second is owned by the Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which recently took over local health services from NHS North London Primary Care Trust. Both sites have been disused for some years.
