After backing the campaign to save New Bevan Baptist Church, Theresa Villiers, Member of Parliament for Chipping Barnet, has expressed her delight that the church in New Barnet will not close after all.
Barnet Council’s annual commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day took place at the weekend and was attended by a range of local figures, including Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, and Matthew Offord, MP for Hendon.
Theresa Villiers, Member of Parliament for Chipping Barnet, has backed the campaign to save New Bevan Baptist Church. The church’s building on Grove Road in New Barnet is owned by the London Baptist Association, but since 2001, it has been shared with the Barnet Christian Fellowship.
As part of her work in her Chipping Barnet constituency in the run up to Christmas, Theresa Villiers MP has announced the winner of her 2017 Christmas card competition. Emma Canagalla, aged 8, and a pupil at Christ Church CE Primary School, submitted the winning entry to the MP’s competition.
Theresa Villiers, MP for Chipping Barnet, helped launch a new electric taxi for London last week as part of an event in Westminster hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Taxis on 13th December.
