Theresa Villiers MP for Chipping Barnet has welcomed the decision by Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) to extend its compensation scheme for Great Northern passengers most affected by disruption which occurred after the introduction of the May timetable.
The borough of Barnet celebrated the birthday of Emmeline Pankhurst this year in order to mark a 100 years since the extension of the franchise to women in 1918. The event was presided over by the Mayor of Barnet and organised by Anjantha Tennakoon of the Conservative Women's Organisation.
Acting on the concerns raised by her British Cypriot constituents, Theresa Villiers, asked the Transport Secretary, Chris Grayling, not to allow direct flights to the north of Cyprus. The exchange took place in Parliament this morning.
