Vote Conservative in Barnet Tomorrow

Theresa Villiers, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Chipping Barnet is campaigning hard today, and has issued the following message as polling day approaches.

"There's only one way to ensure the removal vans show up at Downing Street on Friday and that's by turning out to vote Conservative tomorrow.

Staying at home or voting for any other party lets Gordon Brown off the hook. Only yesterday, Brown’s closest allies were admitting that they see Lib Dem votes providing them with a lifeline to enable them to cling on to power.

The only tactical voting we are supporting is to appeal to everyone to vote Conservative, wherever they live. That is our only change to get a new government that starts cleaning up the mess on Friday.

A vote for the Lib Dems risks inflicting this country with five more years of Gordon Brown. Labour only offer more of the same – and their desperate campaign is designed to scare families, older people and the vulnerable.

The Liberal Democrats’ policies for an immigration amnesty, to scrap prison sentences under six months, keep Labour’s jobs tax and join the euro would damage Britain.

From day one we will start to fulfil our no nonsense, no frills contract with the British people – to cut the waste, sort out the welfare mess, improve front line services and deliver change for the better. We won’t leave the poorest and the most vulnerable behind, because we’re all in this together."
